Job Description

PRIMARY PURPOSE: EFJohnson is searching for a Senior Email Marketing Specialist with 5+ years of hands-on experience building email campaigns, setting up workflows, constructing email templates, and identifying trends that will drive business and marketing results. The Sr. Email Marketing Specialist will be responsible for all aspects of the email marketing funnel and marketing automation processes, including day-to-day strategy, implementation, measurement, and optimization. Our ideal candidate exhibits an insatiable curiosity, attention to detail, organization, and excellent communication skills with a passion for driving growth through digital campaigns. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Own all aspects of the email marketing funnel and marketing automation processes, including implementation, measurement, and optimization Run day-to-day strategy and execution of all aspects of our email marketing program, measuring engagement, overall revenue impact, and optimizing campaign creative/strategy to achieve targets Create a diverse range of automated workflows/drip campaigns based on different audience segments and help develop additional segments to target and test Report on email marketing performance showcasing core KPIs (deliverability, conversion rates, unsubscribe rates, etc.) and revenue contribution Develop and employ constant A/B testing practices across email creative and landing pages to optimize emails for conversion Ensure quality and brand standards are followed for all content developed Monitor and adjust email messaging based on analytics Implement best practices in style, functionality, and technology to enhance the user experience Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver outstanding messaging to our customers that encourage action to include briefing new requests and working through feedback/finalizing deliverables Handle email deliverability and troubleshoot issues if they arise QUALIFICATIONS : 5+ years' experience in an email marketing role; agency experience is a plus. Bachelor's degree in marketing, journalism, public relations, advertising, communications, or similar. Proven experience in strategic planning, complex coordination, and scalable execution of high-impact marketing automation strategies and email marketing campaigns. Understanding of email marketing and data privacy best practices, regulations, and compliance such as the CAN-SPAM Act, CCPA, etc. Hands-on experience with email marketing and automation tools such as Marketo, Eloqua, HubSpot, SendGrid, Drip, MailGun, GetResponse, etc. HubSpot experience preferred Hands-on experience with HTML and content management systems A sense of ownership when building new campaigns and processes Excellent project management skills specific to marketing Outstanding copywriting and copyediting abilities Capability to communicate complex ideas clearly to a non-technical audience Ambitious self-starter with demonstrated ability and willingness to roll up sleeves and execute to get the job done Portfolio required TRAVEL Ability to travel up to 10%.
