Public Relations Account Coordinator, Consumer/Food/Beverage/Wellness PR (NYC)
Location: The Rachel Kay Public Relations practice in the NY, NY office at FINN PARTNERS has an exciting job opening for a Public Relations Account Coordinator. We seek qualified current NYC metropolitan area residents who will work a hybrid schedule of 1 weekday in-office/4 weekdays work remotely.

This Public Relations Account Coordinator role requires prior PR internship or PR work experience, preferably focused on clients and brands in the consumer products and services sector. RKPR, a public relations department within FINN Partners, specializes in public relations strategies and campaigns for clients who work in the food and beverage, consumer lifestyle, and wellness sectors. Now that we’ve (hopefully) sold you on us, let’s talk more about this role:
Responsibilities:
- Maintains media lists.
- Writes press releases.
- Manages the daily media coverage for clients.
- Joins client PR account calls.
- Develops and maintains relationships with media contacts across all platforms.
- Manages on-site client product inventory.
- Learns about PR and earned media.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in communications, journalism, public relations or marketing.
- Prior PR internship experience/entry level work experience in Public Relations (PR agency based is highly preferred ).
- Working knowledge of all digital and social media platforms.
- Energetic, can-do attitude; works effectively in a team setting.
- Excellent written and oral and communications skills.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Effective listening and problem-solving skills.
- Creative thinker who brings a fresh perspective and innovative ideas to the team.
- Flexible and adaptable; works efficiently within a fast-paced PR environment.
- Organized; detail-oriented; manages schedule and tasks to produce deliverables by deadlines.
- Interested in wine/spirits, food, wellness, consumer lifestyle, home, or any combination of the above.
- Loves reading and consuming media; is social media savvy.
- Enjoys working in a fun, collaborative team as well as working concurrently on individual PR projects/assignments.

Anticipated Salary: $23.00/hr.- $24.00/hr. for this full-time, non-exempt, direct hire position. Commensurate with experience and depending upon workplace.
