The Administrative team at UCI Police Department provides administrative and logistical support to each of the Divisions within the Police Department, including UCI Health and UCI Campus. The team is responsible for the development and management of the Department's budget, training, asset management, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, records, communications, and front desk.
The team provides support internally to the Department and Universitywide.
Working with division managers/directors throughout the police department, the Training Coordinator will have significant responsibility for developing recommendations for driving improvements across the department, as well as changes to policies, procedures and practices.
The Training Coordinator serves as the project manager for department initiatives derived from the Office of the Chief; to include DFA wide operation projects, UCI and DFA strategic initiatives and other major project initiatives. The Training Coordinator develops and manages campus-wide community engagement and outreach programs, as well as department-wide meeting and events.
The Training Coordinator will monitor and maintain all training records for each department employee in automated database; monitor POST (Peace Officer Standards and Training) mandates to ensure compliance and ensure all employees are informed of potential non-compliance situations. Coordinate department employee attendance at POST and other training courses including but not limited to registration, travel logistics, expense reimbursement, and completion certification.
