This position is for a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Operating Room (OR) of a Level II Trauma Center. The RN will provide skilled nursing care to adult and pediatric patients during surgical procedures, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team. The role requires a minimum of two years of experience and proficiency in a fast-paced environment. On-call responsibilities are minimal, typically four shifts every 13 weeks.

Responsibilities:
- Providing skilled nursing care during surgical procedures.
- Collaborating with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other OR team members.
- Assessing and monitoring patients' vital signs and condition.
- Administering medications and treatments as ordered.
- Maintaining a sterile surgical field.
- Preparing and stocking surgical equipment and supplies.
- Documenting patient care accurately and completely.
- Participating in on-call rotation as required.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington state or a compact state.
- Minimum two years of experience as a Registered Nurse, preferably in an OR setting.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification.
- Experience in various surgical specialties (neuro, thoracic, general, ortho, plastics, robotics, gyn, ENT, pediatrics, urology, trauma, vascular).
Special Considerations:
- This is a full-time position with 3 twelve-hour day shifts (6:30 AM - 6:30 PM).
- Weekend work may be occasionally required to cover FMLA or vacations.
- On-call responsibilities are minimal (approximately four shifts per 13-week rotation).
- The facility is a Level II Trauma Center.
- The unit primarily serves adult patients with occasional pediatric cases.
- No floating between units is required.
- Block scheduling is possible on a case-by-case basis.
- Scrubs are provided.
- Electronic charting (EPIC) is utilized.
- Parking is provided by the facility.
Scheduling:
- Three 12-hour day shifts per week (6:30 AM - 6:30 PM).
- Weekend work may be assigned occasionally.
