Aerovel (The Airbus Helicopters Flexrotor Program) is looking for a Material Planning & Kitting Specialist to join our Procurement department based in Bingen, WA. You will be part of a team responsible for creating manufacturing orders, scheduling production, and coordinating and expediting the flow of work and materials to support the established MRP production schedule. The team ensures on-time delivery and quality of equipment and systems, drawing on expertise in Industrial, Operations & Quality Management, and strong relationship building skills to problem-solve and proactively mitigate supply chain, production, and material issues. The Airbus Helicopters Flexrotor Program offers advanced small tactical unmanned aerial systems (STUAS) with vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) capabilities for US and allied forces. Responsibilities include production planning and building (70%), materials management (20%), reporting (5%), and support (5%). Duties involve kitting materials per manufacturing bill of material, confirming sales order demand, establishing inventory codes, handling material reliefs, monitoring production capacity, entering demand against production orders, submitting expediting requests, maintaining safety stock, using MRP to create and schedule manufacturing orders, collaborating with engineering and purchasing, and supporting various teams. Additional responsibilities as assigned. Required qualifications include an Associates’ degree or equivalent experience, minimum three years in materials planning, eligibility to work in the US without visa sponsorship, knowledge of ERP systems (CostPoint and TipQA preferred), data analysis skills, and understanding of aircraft parts and Airbus company structure. Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree, proficiency in French/German, knowledge of hazardous materials, and familiarity with PDM, JIRA/Confluence, BI reporting. Physical requirements and PPE details are specified. The position is 95% onsite with some travel involved. Salary range is $81,000 - $121,000/year with benefits including medical, dental, vision, insurance, 401(k), paid time off, tuition assistance, and bonuses.
