Job Description

This is an in-office position (Totowa, NJ) with potential for limited flexibility in the future. You will lead a team of approximately 7 employees and be expected to roll up your sleeves, work collaboratively, and drive process improvement while maintaining accurate and timely financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including GL, AP/AR, payroll, and financial reporting.
• Manage month-end and year-end close processes.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls.
• Provide financial insights and analysis to support business decisions.
• Partner with operational teams to improve efficiencies and support growth.
• Lead, mentor, and develop accounting team members.
• Work closely with external auditors and support audit processes.

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Prior experience in apparel or footwear wholesale highly desirable.
• Experience with Blue Cherry and/or Microsoft D365 Business Central is a strong plus.
• Strong understanding of inventory, cost accounting, and wholesale distribution processes.
• Excellent Excel skills and familiarity with ERP/reporting systems.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Must be willing to work on-site daily in Totowa, NJ.
