Job Description

A large manufacturer of innovative products for the construction of commercial buildings is seeking a Commercial Sales Rep.

Pay: $25/hr

Hours: Monday-Friday from 8am-4:30pm.

Onsite for 6 month then transition to Hybrid Schedule.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for establishing, developing, and maintaining working relationships with new and existing customers by leveraging marketing efforts (Ex: mailers and tradeshow leads), existing database, online investigation, referrals, and other avenues. Outbound prospecting required.
  • Explain key benefits of the product line(s) and how they fit in with the customer's current line distribution or online offering, projects, and facility. Proactively promote and cross-sell product lines to all customers and identifying opportunities to upsell.
  • Full Account management of various size accounts. Provide timely customer support by fielding questions regarding products, technical questions, installations, accurate product/shipping quotes, samples, and any other questions as they arise. Monitor account sales reports regular to ensure they are pacing to expectation.
  • Responsible for thoroughly investigating all leads, prospects, and customers to best understand the current and future sale opportunities, by identifying current project, state of facility, customer base or distribution model.
  • Ensure all appropriate information is documented and entered into all systems, emails, shared documents and reports appropriate to this position (i.e. CRM, NAV, Orders, Returns, POP requests, Customer Overviews and Team Supporting documents, etc.) Using Excel to create spreadsheets is required.
  • Project management to support accounts, sales team or organization when needed.
  • Some travel required (i.e. attend tradeshows, make outside sales calls to new and existing customers as needs arise, other business related events.)

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or its equivalent
  • At least 5 years of proven sales experience
  • Requires experience working with Microsoft Word and Excel, a database management system, using email (Outlook) as work tools
  • Requires the ability to be trained on: a Customer Relationship Management software(CRM), an ERP system (NAV), a Phone System (RingCentral) and other software products.
  • Must possess a valid driver license
